The camera of Nothing Phone (2a) is really good and after the Open Beta 4.0 update it has become impressive with the new presets but the one thing which ruins my user experience is the lag in the camera, every time I open up the camera, it lags and after clicking 1-2 photos it becomes stable. Whenever I try to record video it lags for 2-3 seconds in the begining of the video, then becomes stable. This lag is not only in the camera but also appears in the video as well. This ruins my whole user experience of using the camera. I mean think like you are in that moment of capturing something and you open up your camera and try to take a photo or video and the first thing you see is the lag which ruins that moment, that video and the whole user experience. I really need a fix on this thing. Nothing please help me with this!

Guys do reply if you are also facing the same issue.

I just downloaded and installed Nothing OS 4.0 on my Nothing Phone 2(a) and it seems to be working very well.

Once it is installed, let it sit for 10 minutes to cool down.
Then run app optimization. It took my phone to cool down down in an hour.
Camera presets are amazing to use.

Things we need to be included -

essential space for 2a and other unsupported devices.
Pure pitch black theme for the whole phone, it is still grey in some areas.
Seemless connectivity with my mac pc. or do we have something which can make it ?

Battery is draining fast and charging is slow in Nothing phone 2a after one and half hour my mobile is charged just 50%

Essential search need to be better

Web suggestion:

Web suggestion will allow all the users to completely replace the original google widget and you can search everything from one place. Also I think if you click enter it should automatically search on the Google (where you can set things in settings what hitting enter does weather it Google search or run the first app it shows.) It will make searching everything easier.

Search Preference:

It would also be amazing if you allow user to set weather they want files, contact, web related searches or not because it can get really clutter sometimes. Because most of the photos have random name it is useless to show image search in here. I don’t think anyone would even search images here. It should be an option for you to remove them completely and make the search look clean.

Beta update not working

After update the beta version of nothing 2a, having the issue 5G network did not work properly as previously, why I update it , now I am thinking that I am stupid

RoshanChaurasia yes. I too am facing the issue expessially when we move from 5g area to 4g area. We need to select network as 4g so that it works properly.

After update to NOS 4.0 in NP2a Instagram and Youtube scroll is lagging runs at 30 fps and some games are switching between 30 to 60 fps please fix this issue in next update also try to add more new features.

At the new os 4.0 Some need for the phone app and the where a lock screen clock timeing is only for white colour there some option in like black or diffrent colour on time show lock screen

Also I have face on Airtel 5g plus and 5g instability of network my current update is Nothing OS 3.2

If Open multiple apps and when I switch to another it gets refreshed. I don’t know why this happens. This is a bug

Mohd_khalidKhan Nah, that’s not the right way to look at it. I mean I understand you and I agree with you (because it’s a shady tactics by Nothing to stick to their reasoning while EVERYONE else can use the power key just fine), but you also have to understand that this is a tech, a phone, nothing else, nothing more, and new tech will come always with new features. Truth be told, you are not missing much at all, Gemini is currently simply far superior (and faster) 😁

Anonymous931 yeah , I agree with your statement something new come with new device but here is the thing…it’s okay nahi chaiye mujhe essential space kyuki my mind just work right for me or studio shot combined but atleast don’t disable feature which is working right already like essential search old apk just working right but they disable it and limit the search only to photos and videos and in that too we don’t have face recognition or any such technology that’s basic in our older device that’s insane…gallery feel too basic or if face recognition is feature for only new device…I am done…I am now almost waiting for year but gallery still doesn’t have any improvement…how much time they need that’s my case or atleast don’t disable what working right
