I’m from India and currently using Airtel as my primary SIM. Despite Airtel 5G being available in my area and working perfectly fine on other 5G phones, it still doesn’t work on my Nothing Phone (2a).
I’m currently on Nothing OS 4 Beta version, and this issue has been there for months now. I’ve tried everything possible — network reset, SIM replacement, Airtel store support, and even checking 5G in other phones — and every time it clearly proves that the problem lies within the Nothing OS itself.
It’s honestly disappointing that such a core feature like 5G support is still broken, especially when this device is marketed as “5G ready.” Many users in India are facing the same problem, yet there’s been no proper acknowledgment or timeline for a fix.
Nothing needs to take this seriously — we expect at least an official response or update addressing when Airtel 5G will actually work on the Nothing Phone (2a). Ignoring such a major issue in the beta phase doesn’t reflect well on the brand’s commitment to its users.
Please respond with a clear update, not just a generic “we’re looking into it.”
