Kastello good job tho! Screen HDR/gamma issues ARE COMPLETELY GONE! And I noticed that the blue colour delay is gone too

Update has been great so far! I noticed the animations are much smoother with Dynamic Display On. Ok 3.2 I had to have it on High to have smooth transitions.

Battery life has been great too! Similar to 3.2. I had it charged to 100% and it lasted me 2 days. With Wifi, Data, and location on the whole time.

Camera has been great too with the new filters. Stutters a bit less compared to 3.2. but overall has been great!

Kudos to Nothing’s Software team! 🥂

They changed Nothing

I’m hoping they push quick updates to fix the bugs, like Black and white gradient in WhatsApp preview

And few bugs here and there, I’m reporting constantly

But

Still, I’m hoping for a Fresher, cleaner and new look. Nothing is indeed minimalist and smooth but still I feel it still lacks optimization with this Beta version

Also, the camera quality is Noticeably reduced idk why

Installed the update last night and first impressions are positive. While there aren’t a huge number of changes, performance does feel improved as the OS seems noticeably snappier.

The camera has also seen a definite improvement. Previously, photos often had a yellow tint, which I felt was the phone’s weakest point. Now, image quality looks better and the shutter speed is much faster.

Battery life so far seems to be holding up well too. I’ll keep testing things out and try some of the essential apps over the next few days.

Hey I installed nothing OS 4.0 version on my nothing 2a plus version, the experience seen like good but some issue like camera capturing time and processing time are high and also some much lagg and image processing are more smoothing the image, image quality are all so decreased. Phone getting heat when I using the regular gameplay and normal task and watching movies on vlc media.. ,so could you resolve the issue as much as possible in short and give update on shortly…

Works well and stutter free for me, including essential apps, LUTs and pretty much everything else. Noticeably smoother I think but that might be placebo. Would like some more changes such as quick settings widgets having the icon turn red rather than the whole widget, kind of like the swipe down menu.

The music player has become dull after the update,

It hasn’t brightened up since I turned off the extra dark feature in the dark mode settings

So far , all is good except it’s lacking features for now in the 2a plus , I really loved the stretch camera but I really desired more features for the glyphs.. they got ignored this time.. and so far I’ve noticed a small issue which is , when u pull from the side (the arrow shows up) but when u like try wiggle it up and down it goes back in and because of this , the keyboard (gboard) think that it closed itself making my screen full like there isn’t a keyboard , and as for the app optimisation.. it would’ve been better if I could choose which apps to optimize

According to me this was just the worst Os update by NOTHING ever, cux they really did nothing in this which is really disgusting, they just give cool features to their new models like 3a series and Cmf 2 but no such ai features for old 2a series which is really disgusting and disappointing and they wasted our one OS update by giving OS 4.0 actually, really disappointed from you guys.

1. Share Option in App Drawer / Home Screen

Add a share option when long-pressing an app (similar to OnePlus, Realme, etc.).
Enables quick sharing of Play Store links or APKs.

Provide a system-level option to disable Wi-Fi/data per app without third-party tools.

3. Modern Icon Customization

Support additional icon shapes: Squircle, Pebble, Rounded Square, and Circular.

4. Advanced Lockscreen Styles

More clock styles, depth effects, and enhanced media controls.
Subtle fade/swipe animations when unlocking or switching ambient display.
Double tap to turn off the screen directly from the lock screen.

5. Brightness Bar Access

Nothing, we were hoping for Nothing’s take on material 3 expressive by pixel , we are highly disappointed ! We waited for this 4.0 but what we got is same old plain bland food without salt !

ChintuMoniRajbongshi yeah, Space Grotesk font is nice because they are using it on their community web. But adding a OTF or TTF upload custom font would be amazing
