Trotz mehrerer Versuche scheint das Gerät das externe Mikrofon nicht zu erkennen und ich kann es nicht für die Audioeingabe verwenden. Ich würde mich sehr über Ihre Unterstützung bei der Lösung dieser Angelegenheit freuen. Konkret interessiere ich mich für die Unterstützung externer Mikrofone, etwa von Rode. I am writing to inform you that I am experiencing issues with connecting an external microphone to my Phone 2. Despite multiple attempts, the device does not seem to recognize the external microphone, and I am unable to use it for audio input.

voyta I have seen other users reporting this too. It does appear to be specific to the Nothing Camera app, as suggested above, you can try using other applications for the time being. I will try to raise this internally, as I find this to be inconvenient myself!

Try GCam or Filmic Pro. With both camera apps external microphones work. I know it’s not the most convenient option but could be a temporary solution for you.

I have picked up a generic USB microphone for my phone, to do podcasts and better audio on videos, but the thing just doesn’t work.

It is plugged in via USB C, and the correct light is showing, and the microphone is connected as well. All looks as it should, just doesn’t try and use it on videos.

I’ve had a look through the video settings and can’t see anything to change the audio input, or in the standard settings. Any help would be great.

I am using an external microphone through type C to 3.5 mm jack cable in video recording from the front camera on Nothing Phone 2. But, the voice is getting recorded from the built-in microphone of phone 2. Yes, the built-in microphone is fantastic but, can we fix this up?

Or is there any option in the settings of phone 2?

Please try and resolve this as it becomes very important for creators to provide good audio to their audience.

Currently it is not possible to use an external microphone within the default camera app.

During the Q4 Community Update video, it was mentioned that this is in the works.

I just saw that Rode in his post uses his external microphone on the Nothing’s camera. Has it already been implemented? I still can’t use it

I recently purchased a mireless mic (dji mic Mini) simply used for vlogging and tryed using it with my nothing phone 2. Unfortunately it lacked of quality and some frequencies we’re so terrible that i Had to returne it. I baught the fifine m9 instead which just arrived.

Now to the real Problem: Its not a secret that nothing had a bunch of issues with external mics in the past. Even tho they stated that they fixed the missing option to use a external mic in OS 2.5.5 i believe, its still a recurring issue.

Now my Phone is at 4.something and it still doesnt recognise the external mic. I have tryed using other recording Apps Like Open camera and some other Play Store camera Apps but it still doesnt record the Sound coming from the external microphone.

Even tho they dji Microphone worked it still lacked quality which could be a technical issue since dji happens to have a bunch of them but nobody had the same as i did. I had such harsh sounding 8k frequencies it was simply hurting.

I tried the mic with my girlfriends iPhone and IT worked just fine which makes me believe its another issue just appliying to the nothing phone :/

If someone actually read through all this and has a proper solution or just a simple reasoning for the still not fixed external mic issue please answer.
