i think, the nothing team should implement more haptic feedbacks in the ui, these parts of the ui feels unfinished…specially the recent apps removal.

I’m facing an issue after updating to version 4.0 beta. When I open the settings and use the search function, it automatically closes. This message also appears when I’m using other applications.

My honest opinion so far for nothing os 4 :-

Battery life got better now I’m getting really good battery life I’m a heavy user .

Apart from that nothing new ..

I was A LOT exited for this update, i was really looking forward to it, it’s not Bad but there are some things that i don’t like… the new icons are NOT bad, i don’t mind it but yeah the Gallery icon is strange af. Other than that i NEED to say something for the essential search, i dunno if it’s only me but when i try to search something(es. Maps) it shows me the first thing for the Letter M and after like2 or 3 seconds after i wrote it shows me what i was searching. I think the problem is that the app is looking at my files(i have a LOT of Photo and Video) and it is slowing it down. For me it’s better if the launcher let’s you select what you want it too see, disabling the single options you don’t want. For the rest i didn’t see other problems so far.

ChikuYadav True, there’s no such thing. This dark mode works only in Settings. I anticipated something like the true dark mode in custom roms or other UIs. This one is absolute shit. It’s a joke.

Running Nothing OS 3a (Open Beta 4) — and the new Essential Search says you can “delete” it… but you actually can’t. It’s invisible on the home screen and buried deep in system settings. If “uninstallable” = “use adb,” that’s not transparency. That’s a dark pattern. : )

Good update but there are few suggestions:

Circle to search a bit laggy when open it

As other people say setting search crashs

Could you please make Gemini answers from Google natively built in search panel (if I’m not mistaken it was announced in official tizers)

More scroll optimisation would be nice

Also scrolling in app search lags

When Swipe up to start searching setting is activated and you swipe up keyboard animation lags as well

I can’t play my game with beta. Can someone please try to install hill climb racing 2 from play store. It crashes on launch for me.

adbo Reading all the community members feedback. Now I don’t feel like updating to nothing os 4.0 if there are no much changes. The only major update is you get android 16. I bought nothing for its minimalistic and customisable Os but now it’s disappointing and im thinking of changing the phone if the final stable update is also the same.
