CMF Headphone Pro Review (Video)
I have very mixed feelings about the CMF Headphone Pro. While I have to give praise to the build quality and comfort, the headphones fall short on performance and features for their current price point, leading me to a conclusion that ultimately I cannot recommend these headphones unless found at a significant discount. Checkout my full review linked above. Below I’ve outlined a summary of my thoughts, Cheers!

The Good
Build & Comfort: CMF Headphone Pro are quite durable, feel well-built, comparable to the Nothing Headphone 1 build, but more comfortable than Headphone 1.

Removable Cushions: Unlike the more expensive Headphone 1 from Nothing, the ear cushions are easily removable on the CMF Headphone Pro, which is a nice feature for long-term use and maintenance. Really something Nothing should adopt with Headphone 2.

The Bad
👂Sound: The audio performance is underwhelming, kind of meh, and I found majority of cheaper headphones sound better.
⚡Energy Slider: The advertised “Energy Slider” does absolutely nothing to affect the sound quality and acts more like a fidget than a functional feature. Given you can have custom EQ profiles in the Nothing app, it would have been much nicer if this feature enabled you to swap between those custom profiles. Adjusting Treble/Bass seems redundant given it’s easy to do in the app directly.

🎧ANC: Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is inconsistent and not the best, with some background noise still leaking through in environments like coffee shops or even my home office at times.
🔋Battery: Battery life was highly variable and did not come close to the advertised 100 hours, even when observing stipulations like turning off ANC, 50% volume, etc..
🔘Physical Buttons: While the headphones feel durable and they are comfortable, the physical buttons, especially the volume slider, feel very cheap, raising my concerns about long-term durability.

Final Thoughts

CMF Headphone Pro offer a durable build and comfort, but given the mediocre sound, variable battery performance, and inconsistent ANC, these headphones don’t offer good value for their price at retail. These are only be a solid buy if they were priced around $40, and I strongly recommend only picking them up if you can find a really great deal, maybe 50% off. I found myself often longing for more from these but for me, based on my usage, I found these very underwhelming as much as I wanted to love them, I simply don’t.
