Banjer Haha nah, that one wasn’t part of the earlier debate 😅I was just joking with krizxjr fortune post — “champions*” was more of a playful correction, not aimed at anyone. Totally meant in good fun, nothing deep.
Hey CMF1_hacker ,
I get that you’re laying out how you think the community should run, but your comment was posted directly under mine, so naturally, I thought you were responding. Either way, I’ll clarify a few things — not to argue, but to make sure we’re on the same page.
You said I’m “projecting,” but that’s kind of ironic because I never accused you personally of anything. I responded because your earlier comment framed the problem as “too many complaint threads” instead of addressing why those threads exist. That’s exactly the kind of dismissal I was talking about in my post — people voicing frustration being labeled as “ruining the community.”
And about what kind of posts should or shouldn’t exist (according to you) — that’s where I think there’s a misunderstanding of what a community actually is. This isn’t XDA or a developer feedback portal. Threads about “thermal throttling” or “battery testing” belong in the feedback tool, not here. Developers can’t track logs or metrics through the forum — it’s for discussion, experiences, and user sentiment. That’s what Nothing made the community for: to talk, share, agree, or disagree respectfully.
So yes, people complaining about bloatware, design changes, or privacy issues are using the community correctly. They’re expressing what users feel, which is valuable in its own way — even without logs attached. I flag: when I see low-effort or duplicate threads, I flag them and ask mods to merge. I suggested you to do the same. But telling users not to post their experiences at all misses the purpose of having a community space.
Also, let’s be real — if you look at my thread or comments, there’s no toxicity here. Nobody’s name-calling, nobody’s raging - towards an individual (ofcourse they shared their opinion and how they felt about certain group of people. But, no one targetted an individual). We’re discussing. The title wasn’t meant to insult people; “fanboys” here referred to a behavioral pattern, not an individual. People who react defensively to every bit of criticism make conversations impossible. That’s what I was highlighting. If you personally don’t do that, then you weren’t the target.
When you call my post “antagonistic” or “hypocritical,” it honestly feels like you’re projecting intent that isn’t there. I didn’t attack anyone; I made an observation about community behavior. You chose to take it as an attack — that’s on interpretation, not intention.
Anyway, I respect your right to have your opinion about how the community should run, but I also believe we shouldn’t silence or shame people for sharing genuine feedback — even emotional ones. As long as it’s civil, it belongs here.
Peace. ✌️
