Hello, im new user nothing 3a! I have the idea that a “cut” image from the gallery could be sent directly to Telegram, as is implemented on iPhones.

I mean dragging and dropping images, not copying.

App grid sitting in the home screen layout setting, have 4 columns and 5 columns option - essentially it should be customisable, and option could be given to customise the columns in app drawer as well.
Currently, if App Grid is changed to 5 Columns, it resizes the widgets as well and adjusts them to obey the App Grid setting, which I believe shouldn’t be the case; it doesn’t look visually appealing as it leaves out space and most Nothing widgets have 2×2 tile size. And to make the homescreen look nice, one will have to unnecessarily add 1×1 widgets, and also add icons to homescreen to make it look complete. IMG attache
Allow users to move apps from one category to another in smart app drawer.
Rearranging of apps inside the category bubble/box (what to call it?) in the smart app drawer.
Pinning of the apps inside these category bubbles (since Nothing allows users to launch 3 apps without opening the category bubble, but how the apps inside these bubbles or folders are arranged by Nothing, that’s a mystery, because I did check it is not sorted by name or size or date of app installation)
Sorting the apps could be accessed through ellipses perhaps.
Resizing of all widgets - that would mean designing some of the nothing widgets for different sizes as well.
Ability to make widgets transparent, this is helpful when you have some wallpaper which would really appreciate if the widget was transparent instead of sitting on top of black box (I am talking about widget background)
Allowing users to turn off google discover, it is annoying when it is accidentally accessed.
From security point of view - if people have set their unlock mechanism as lock screen pin, then perhaps adding “Scramble Pin” option in Lock screen settings could strengthen the security of the device, and it can also be rolled out to Private Space.

For now these are some of improvements I felt after using the Nothing OS on Phone 2a and Cmf Phone 1.

Problem/Issue Backgroun:

While the addition of “Power off verify” is much appreciated, it serves limited purpose.
Assuming a scenario where mobile network is on and the device gets stolen, then the device can be simply be taken offline by the perpetrator, as no screen lock authentication is required.
This screen lock authentication is only applicable when someone is shutting down or restarting the phone.

Request:

When the device is connected to a network (WiFi or mobile data), the users should be given an option in Settings (can be placed in Lock Screen Settings), to lock network related settings in the notification panel.
These could be extended to NFC, GPS /Location, Wallet, Sound and Vibration, QR Code Scanner, Bluetooth, and other deemed settings accessible through notification panel.

This is to strengthen the security of the device.

moonbucks You can already disable the quick settings on the lock screen. Go to Settings > Lock Screen > Quick Settings and disable it to hide them.

Anonymous906 It completely hides it, this is not what I meant.

I meant that users could still access notification panel, but can use only limited quick settings options and unlocking the device is required to access sensitive quick settings like network related quick setting options.

If I go with the option you suggested (stock android option) - then consider a case where the adaptive brightness is turned off, and I don’t want to unlock the phone and still see the time and notifications from just lock screen, then I wouldn’t be able to access the notification panel to increase the brightness.

We need more people like you 😄. Hope Nothing team sees your hardwork and dedication and implement all these features and changes. Not for yourself only but for every Nothing user out there.

The Nothing team has constantly improved a lot of the Software features all through these years.

But one thing I have been struggling with is the lack of a proper pre-shutdown warning to the user.

Low-battery warnings exists, however before it resorts to the point of a sudden SHUTDOWN, it is very helpful to have a warning popup or message or BEEP or flashing etc.

I have had numerous critical inconvenience during frequent travels when my NothingPhone “shuts down” on me suddenly. At least a critical warning with BEEP say counting down from 60 secs down would be very helpful.

Kindly consider what best can be done.

Good thing: When we are lock the phone, try to power off or restart there must be asking password or finger print.

Bad thing on my point of view: When we are unlock the phone, try to power off or restart there not asking password or finger print.

Cause: whenever I go outside, theft my phone from my hand while using the phone, they can easily Power off the phone and wipe the data.
