Appreciate the design and sound quality of the Buds 2 Plus, but a few recurring issues are affecting usability: 1. In-ear detection bug The buds often misinterpret wear status, causing random pauses or disconnections even when both are securely in place. This needs a firmware-level fix. 2. Volume drop glitch While listening to music, the volume intermittently drops to absolute zero. It’s frequent enough to disrupt the experience, yet erratic enough to be hard to replicate. 3. Battery sync issue – When both buds are worn simultaneously, there’s consistently a 5% battery difference between them. This isn’t typical and suggests an imbalance that should be investigated. These aren’t edge cases—they’re core functionality concerns. Hoping for a prompt resolution and a firmware update that reflects user feedback seriously.

Have these issues arisen since the firmware update?

When I got the CMF Buds 2 Plus, the first thing I did was update them. And now they’re updated to the latest version. And these problems are still annoying. Since there doesn’t seem to be any hardware issues, you can probably fix the problems with a software update. my phone is nothing 2a & today updated to nothing os 4.0

Description:

I am experiencing a persistent issue where my custom EQ settings and touch controls reset to default automatically.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Connect CMF Buds 2 Plus to both an iPhone and an iPad via Dual Connection.

2. Customize EQ and controls in the Nothing X app on the iPhone.

3. Use the buds normally, switching between devices or putting them back in the charging case.

4. After some time, the settings revert to factory defaults without warning.

Observation:

It appears that the onboard memory of the buds is being overwritten or failing to sync with the iOS app correctly. This defeats the purpose of customization if I have to manually re-apply my settings every time I use them.

I have seen similar reports from other users. Please address this firmware conflict in the next update. It is severely affecting the user experience for iOS users.
