NikhilKumar_rQBxkoQaDH again, this isn't helpful. To me, in Europe, this looks likes a garbage internet connection forcing a low-bitrate connection. If that happened to me, the last thing I would expect is a hardware/software issue.

So, yeah after your insult, it isn't clear to the majority of the community what the issue is.

Some text from the OP, and a reduction of personal insults from you, would be beneficial in identifying the underlying problem.

It hurts to see that on such phones paying that much price!

I actually started loving my phone and it is adorable but when this thing happened it just fluctuated my emotions in behalf of my phone.

I always wanted a phone that I could make my companion but this things uhh hurts !

Hope they will look at this.

I just want to say one thing still hurts ! But

" instead of focusing on adding bloatwares and Adware please focus on software optimisation if you could build such a good OS then why can't you make it well optimised ? Existing users are suffering this issues in their phones".

Remember! You can earn revenue but you will loose customers !

I just tried to reproduce this issue on my NP3 using the same exact video, it's not happening over here. 🤷‍♂️ Can anyone else reproduce the OPs issue?

Am I supposed to be upset by this? Just confused about whether I should be outraged or not.

Someone please let me know what the expected outcome is.

My touchscreen manufacturer is shown below. I am trying to boot my old phone to snap a photo. Ah, used my iMac from 2013 instead.

Now, can someone let me know whether I should be outraged?

CMF1_hacker Yes. That is it. The awful banding isn't supposed to happen. This happens even when playing back 1080p or 2k videos and it is not a Youtube-only problem. I have seen this even on the Netflix app, Disney Hotstar app, Google Photos (in both images and videos) and basically anything else that has got something to do with showing images or videos. I have seen old Realme and Samsung phones and they didn't have this issue. Brightness level doesn't make any significant difference. My 2A Plus is plagued with this awful problem since Day1. They had banding issue in home screen too but later they patched it.

I just found and played back that exact video and it looks totally fine on my phone 3.

can someone post their display type from Device Info HW like me. I believe I have an FTS touch screen (fts_ts) and am running NOS 4.0b (only one firmware atm).

Try disabling HW overlays and see. Because when I disabled it I found my device screen is now producing Good Rich tone now .

Go in developers options>>search for HW overlays disable it.

Your device system directly uses GPU for rendering

Check it out I can confirm it's software issue .

I could say like display controller tone mapping is causing the issue. Needs to be fixed up by an update

OHMIC I can confirm that this works on my phone.

More precisely, when I enable that developer option, indicating that GPU is always used for compositing, that the image is truly black.

Thank you for taking the time to post the problem precisely, which is why I tested it and even more THANK YOU for providing a SOLUTION, which is somewhat uncommon around these parts.

I will key the option off as I assume that I'll get better battery life with using HW overlays rather than running the GPU.

I'm gonna make a detailed proper Post on this so even technical team also understands this.

I was panicked up earlier because if this is hardware or software issue or what ! Because we pay huge amount for this that's why ! But later I found its software issue but still later on I will confirm this issue.

OHMIC In my opinion, this is exactly how the forum should be used.

The technical team will look at serious issues if their detailed like post is. They've responded to me before.

2160p resolution for the actual real phone 3 screen resolution is not usefull at all or I miss something ?
