Hi everyone,
I havenât installed Nothing OS V3.2-251103-2121 on my CMF Phone 2 Pro yet, but Iâm seeing multiple reports from users about camera quality regressions after updating, so Iâm holding off for now and would like to collect more data from the community.
What other users are reporting
- Skin tones reportedly look noticeably darker and less accurate compared to preâupdate photos taken in the same lighting and angle, suggesting a change in processing rather than shooting conditions.
- Faces appear overprocessed with an artificial âplasticâ look under various lighting, which sounds like an aggressive postâprocessing or color science shift.
- In lowâlight and mixed lighting, highlights are said to blow out more easily and show blooming that users didnât see (or saw less of) before the update.
- The prior âpointâandâshootâ reliability seems reduced, with users needing multiple attempts or edits to get a pleasing shot after the update.
- Some users mention the update was supposed to improve HDR tuning, but their experience feels like crushed detail and harsher contrast, implying an HDR regression.
What Iâm asking from the community
- If youâve updated, are you observing these changes consistently, or only in certain scenes or modes?
- Please share:

Lighting condition (daylight, indoor ambient, warm LED, lowâlight).
Mode used (Auto/Photo, HDR on/off, Night mode), and whether any filters/beauty settings were active.
Before/after notes or sample photos if allowed by forum rules, plus EXIF if possible.
Any workarounds that helped (e.g., slight negative exposure compensation, toggling HDR, switching to Night mode, or specific thirdâparty camera settings).
My goal
- To make an informed decision about installing this update and to help surface reproducible details that can assist Nothingâs team in identifying whether the issue involves skin tone rendering, HDR balance, and lowâlight highlight control.
Note to moderators
- If there is a master thread for V3.2-251103-2121 camera issues, please merge this post or point me to it so we can centralize findings and keep the forum organized.
Thanks in advance to everyone who shares their resultsâthis will help those of us waiting to update decide, and it may also provide clearer guidance for a potential hotfix.
