This is an interesting proposition.
I was in the changing room at the gym yesterday and a young student had some Air Jordan IVs and was showing them off.
Luckily being almost 50, I was able to say in an American accent, "I had those the first time around and after a summer of bball on my driveway, I wore through the sole and I hope their better this time around, as back then I paid $120."
I think the only reason this really works is if retro product is recognisable enough and nostalgic enough.
I think the Jordans fit this category and the old 8-bit NES does, but the NP1 doesn't.
It's too new and didn't have a very large following. The way forward was evolution but it seems the GL have been reduced to a single notification dot.
Maybe with 4a, we'll see whether than evolution continues.
