@Carl sorry for the tag, but is there any chance of getting someone’s eyes on this or providing an update on where .81 is?

There’s a lot of unhappy people with the current state of the headphones 1 and how long the sound quality issues have dragged on for. Support seem to be just as in the dark as we’ve been on where and when the update will land.

Just an update or a time frame would be great. I am sitting on one pair of each, and I find myself using my CMF Headphones more.

Not gonna wait on this firmware, nothing lost my thrust.

Now im gonna wait on the maxwell 2 with anc.

It’s becoming sad that there is no message from devs just saying to us what they do, how it’s difficult, why it take so long. Just take some little time speaking with us. Having a short, regular message that explains things simply would be a real plus for the community. We’re not all angry people constantly complaining, attacking, or being negative. So don’t punish balanced users because of the actions of a minority. Take some time for us regularly !

For me It’s been 2 months with the Nothing Headphone (1) and honestly? The audio experience has been disappointing.

I bought these because every tech YouTuber praised the sound, and I know they used to sound good. But after a software update, the sound quality clearly got worse, and it still hasn’t been fixed.

What’s frustrating is that I’ve read multiple comments from users on the beta firmware saying the sound is way better and that they’re happy with it. So the fix clearly exists, it’s just not released publicly yet.

These are supposed to be Nothing’s pro headphones, yet cheaper models are getting better treatment. That makes no sense.

I really want to love these headphones, but at this point I’m genuinely considering returning them if this update doesn’t roll out soon.

If you’re in the same situation, please comment and share your experience.

We just want the sound quality we were promised.

In the meantime, I found this EQ that makes them sound quite a bit bette

Also waiting for the update. Collecting headphones is one of my hobbies and I do really want to like these. It is pretty strange that beta users are reporting that .81 works great but it’s still not publicly released yet. It would be really nice if the Nothing team would be transparent on what the holdup is.

Anyway, I thought I’d share my EQ setting as well. Maybe I sit between my Klipsch the Fives speakers too much but I really enjoy the feeling of being “encased” by the music.

Ohh, and this kind another useless update for microphone quality. This headphones micro useless in noisy environment, it cuts more then half of words….

It’s been too long… I have 2 years to return mine when i want, but I won’t wait so long. No news from the team, features are broken since day one purchase. Proof are everywhere, It’s problematic.

This is getting hilarious. Support doesn’t know anything about the release timeline (quote: “It usually takes 1-2 months for a release”) and there is no official statement. I honestly don’t get whats so hard in just communicating the current status. Seems like nothing just doesn’t care about their users nor their reputation since basically every recent review of the headphones online is negative. But hey interesting business strategy.

I’ve given up, I’ve organised the return of my pair today. I will be going with a brand who don’t push out updates that completely destroy the sound profile of their devices.

I’d like to say it’s been great, but it’s been 3 months of wasted time and nothing short of infuriating.

I sincerely hope you all get the update sooner than later, especially those not in return windows and might be feeling kept hostage by this abysmal support team.

Those who updated to .81 are happy with the update.

Is there any possibility that someone that joined the beta would share their account?

I mean, maybe if we logged into that account we could all update our firmware to the beta and then log in back to our accounts?

Of course It would have to be someone that didn’t care much about the account or that doesn’t hold any personal information on it.

Just saying! Anyone mind to help?

rickygalaxies it’s not about the account, it’s Bluetooth address and serial number validated, only devices that they add in the list
