Having just fired up my CMF Phone 2 pro, I was extremely impressed. However when exploring the phone, I saw a message in Security and Privacy saying that an update was required. The update was for Google Play Services, so I clicked the update button. On the first attempt, it reached 80% and the update failed. I tried again and it failed again. Today I searched the web and found all sorts of advice. To cut a long story short, I tried again and the same warning message was there that device may be at risk and an update was needed. I thought give it a go, and Google Play and my banking app started to update, but the banking app failed to update when I picked up my phone. I fiddled around and saw the sleep mode under Battery and the tips as to what it does. I disabled the sleep mode, and kept the phone active while the updates took place. Hey presto! and both apps updated with no problem, and the yellow warning in Security and Privacy was gone. I am not a very Techy person, so probably many of you probably already know this. But I thought I would share as I am sure I am not the only dummy out there. Not sure if what I did made a difference, but it solved my problem.
