I noticed that Flip to Glyph silences incoming WhatsApp calls, but I wanted to allow WhatsApp calls to still go through (and use do not disturb if I didn't). After looking for fixes online to no avail, I decided to try making my own fix on Automate. Below are the details.
After flip to glyph is activated:
- Notifications will be silenced, no vibration, but will show up as glyph lights.
- Normal calls will go through.
- *Third-party app calls will go through*, after which flip to glyph will be disabled.
Note: if flip to glyph is reactivated without unlocking the phone, the device will change into vibrate mode instead of silent mode.
The catch is that calls won't be silenced in silent mode, and won't vibrate only in vibrate mode. So, with this on, to silence calls, use do not disturb.
I've only tested it for the Phone 3a using WhatsApp calls for now.
Check it out here
(Note: after testing, I found that the fiber that is supposed to set the phone to vibrate [i.e., after flip to glpyh is activated, and a WhatsApp call is received, and flip to glyph is reactivated without unlocking the device, the program will prevent flip to glyph from silencing the device, to still let WhatsApp calls come through] may still run, as in multiple instances of it may exist, and not get stopped by the parent fiber. I can't recreate the bug for now.)
Hope yall find this useful!
