For the first time since updating to Nothing OS 4.0, I can confidently say this: battery optimization has significantly improved. (Phone 3a and 3a Pro users)
At first, I was honestly worried.
After updating and charging my phone to 100%, my battery dropped to 30% by the end of the day with just moderate usage. Earlier, on Nothing OS 3.2, I used to easily end the day with 40% or more left.
But then something interesting happened.
Someone from the community recommended that I enable the App Optimization feature. I followed the steps, gave the system some time to recalibrate and the results genuinely surprised me.

After turning on app optimization:
This clearly shows that the new update isn’t just about looks it’s actually working on the backend to manage power better.
Nothing OS 4.0 is genuinely strong in terms of optimization.
Apps are taking less power, background activity feels more controlled, and overall battery stability has definitely improved.

Nothing OS 4.0 looks promising when it comes to battery efficiency
but only after proper app optimization is enabled.
