Nothing OS 4 feels fresh, refined, and overall really good. There are still a few bugs and minor glitches, but I’m hopeful they’ll be fixed with future updates. However, when it comes to gaming, the experience is still disappointing.
Nothing promotes smooth performance and talks about innovation, but despite having hardware capable of 120 FPS, most games remain locked at 60 FPS due to software limitations. I bought the CMF Phone 1 expecting a solid mid-range gaming experience, but the current software compatibility holds the device back.
Games like Minecraft support 120 FPS and aren’t very demanding. The hardware can clearly handle it, yet the FPS is still locked at 60. This makes gaming feel restricted, not because of hardware limits, but because of software optimization.
I genuinely like Nothing as a brand—the design, ideas, and overall vision are impressive. I just hope future updates focus more on gaming optimization and unlocking the true potential of the hardware, especially for users who care about high refresh rate gaming.
