Ich habe gerade vor ein paar Stunden Nothing OS 4.0 auf meinem CMF Phone 2 Pro installiert. Obwohl ich mit den UI-Änderungen und Funktionen im Vergleich zu Nothing OS 3.0 zufrieden war, fiel mir auf, dass es diese System-App namens „AppServices“ gab. Mir ist es nur aufgefallen, weil plötzlich eine Benachrichtigung erschien, während ich mein Telefon benutzte. Obwohl ich die Tatsache zu schätzen weiß, dass die umstrittene Funktion „Lock Glimpse“ standardmäßig deaktiviert ist, bin ich enttäuscht, dass die Aufnahme dieser neuen App nicht einmal im Änderungsprotokoll des Updates veröffentlicht wurde.

Yeah, as I posted in the other thread, my CMF1 doesn’t seem to have this software installed.

I am willing to run any test you’d like to see.

perhaps I am making a mistake but I suspect there might be regional differences at play, which I didn’t expect given all the news surrounding these changes.

PhantomPolygon how many android skins are we going to watch going from stock android to funtouch bloatware os. In a few years the bloat will get so out of hand that the current budget phones would lag due to the os itself. This has happened to my old vivo phone and I hope my nothing 3a doesn’t trace its path to the grave.

The whole company was about better user experience, and no bloatware firstly said only most important apps like instagram facebook but this srsly???? What???

Not even fixing the hdr which they did by the update I am tired of waiting for it to get fixed constant feedbacks still no response and now this wow

Jozf Benestin🇮🇳 no but this i really wrong just putting bloatware on your face after saying we provide bloatware free experience… ok i get it they have to make money for the brand as well thats why i had no issues with pre installed instagram and facebook type some apps in their budget phones but this so called “transparent company” no where mentioned abt this crazy bloatware they are adding the USP was user experience, yeah surely they give user a shocking experience every month

edit- yeah continue merging posts and ignoring them instead of explaining and fixing the issues that your users are facing

UpawNothing yahh it’s actually very disappointing actually it was better when they use Google photos as their default editor as it has so many advanced editing features

UpawNothing markup feature ig an important feature for a gallery editor if you have to mark something in a photo to show or send it to someone is still missing
ig by basic features he meant things like that not the cropping and all

Even if I don’t enable lock glimpse, still can it drain battery in background?

I never toggle it on from the update, not Even just to check also.

I know using adb or things like that it can be disabled completely but I don’t want that .

PrimeAyan no it will not effect your battery once you disabled it. I have also disabled it since the day I updated my device and it’s not effecting my battery life

i received this notification recently

and I opened thinking it was some customisation feature after nos 4.0 update, but I was met with this…

does anyone else have this? I have no third party shady applications installed that would do this and it seems like it’s named ‘aura’.

PhantomPolygon if we disable the app will we face any issue regarding updations or notification for with other apps , or is it just playstore for installing bloatwares ?

Disabling “AppServices” is actually beneficial because it gets rid of the annoying notification from the app. Additionally, disabling “AppServices” does not have any negative impact on the phone’s battery life.

Apps installed by “AppServices” are actually installed by its own store, not the Play Store.

itsadnanali now you can disable it. It is just an third party app Installer and disabling it will not affect your device
