Yes, this problem has been happening for a while now.
The issue is with the “voice focus” mode, which is activated in apps like Instagram, WhatsApp, Discord, etc., when sending voice messages or making calls.
The “normal” mode works better (that’s what it’s called in the “Recorder” app). The problem is that there’s no menu in the settings where you can easily switch between these modes and choose the one you prefer.
One way to change this mode is when you’re on a call or sending an audio message. You’ll notice a green microphone icon appear on the right side of the notification bar. Pull down the notification bar and tap that green icon (or the green three-dot icon). Theoretically, the option to change the mode should appear there, but it doesn’t.
