Hey Nothing Community, I wanted to quickly report a strange battery bug I just encountered on my Phone (3a). I was trying to install a new system update while at 13%, so I plugged into my CMF by Nothing 65W GaN Multiport Charger. It charged rapidly to 20% in just a few minutes, but the system still blocked the update with a warning to charge the device further or turn off battery saver. To try and bypass the warning, I decided to restart the device while it was sitting at 20%. To my absolute surprise, when the phone booted back up less than a minute later, the battery percentage had jumped instantly to 63%. While I’d love for my phone to actually charge that fast, it’s clearly a reporting error where the OS isn’t syncing correctly with the hardware’s actual voltage. Has anyone else seen these massive percentage jumps on the (3a)? It seems like a calibration glitch that needs a fix, especially since it interferes with the ability to trigger system updates. Please check this out and let me know if there’s a specific patch coming for this! #NothingPhone3a #BugReportCMF by Nothing
