On top of what was already mentioned, I’d say you try to train your “photography eye”. What I mean is that you start following photographers that you like, watching YouTube videos about composition etc.
Then, just go out and try to take pictures of things you find interesting, but trying to make it a bit different. You see, most people just hold their phone in front of their face while they’re standing and just click the shutter.
What you should do is trying to find new perspectives, maybe take a picture with the phone close to the floor, maybe crouch, maybe use the grid lines in the camera app to find symmetry or perspective lines.
In my experience, having references from artists you like helps a lot to develop your own style.
