Hi Nothing Team and Community!
As a fan of the unique Nothing aesthetic, I’ve been thinking about how to improve our gaming experience on Nothing OS. Currently, the “Game Mode” feels a bit generic for a brand that stands for transparency and innovation.
I propose a new feature called “Nothing Game Set”. The word “Set” implies a complete toolkit of precision instruments for the power user.
Key features of the concept:
Minimalist Floating Overlay: A real-time monitoring window for FPS, CPU/GPU load, and temperature using the iconic NDot (Dot Matrix) font. This window should be movable, allowing users to drag and place it anywhere on the screen to avoid blocking important UI elements.
“Ghost” Transparency: To avoid distractions in high-stakes competitive titles like Call of Duty, Extraction Shooters (Delta Force), or Battle Royales, the overlay should become translucent or nearly invisible after a few seconds of inactivity. This follows the philosophy of “technology that doesn’t get in the way.”
Aesthetic Integration: A design that feels like a part of the hardware, mirroring the transparency of our devices and providing a professional-grade sampling tool for performance.
I believe this would turn a simple software feature into a true “Nothing” experience. What do you guys think?
