RahimWilliams Honestly, I want the same too. A clean, Nothing-style notes app would be really cool.
But I also kinda get why they haven’t made one. We already have Google Keep, which syncs everything to the cloud and works across devices seamlessly. For most users, that’s more than enough.
The issue is for people like us who prefer local storage. Not everyone wants their notes floating around in the cloud. And right now, Nothing doesn’t really have strong AI-powered note features built into the OS (aside from Essential Space), so if they made a notes app today, it would probably feel pretty basic compared to what Google already offers.
A lot of other brands build their own notes apps mainly to show off AI features like summaries, smart formatting, handwriting recognition, etc. Nothing isn’t really in that lane yet.
That’s why I ended up looking elsewhere. I started using Obsidian and it’s honestly great. It’s cross-platform, works fully offline, and keeps your notes locally stored. You can sync across devices if you want (paid), but you don’t have to. Plus, the ability to link notes together is a game changer. It feels way more powerful than a typical notes app. If you don’t care about AI and just want a offline note taking app with more features give it a try. If you’re asking for Nothing’s own notes app with AI features.. just use essential space.
