I recently faced an issue with my Nothing CMF Phone 1, as the display was completely damaged. When I contacted the authorized service center, they informed me that the display was out of stock.
Since it was urgent, they offered me an exchange option. I submitted my phone along with the original box, accessories, and invoice, and paid around ₹4,000 as the screen cost. My request was approved, and I have been upgraded to the CMF Phone 2 Pro (8GB/128GB). I truly appreciate this support and the smooth upgrade process.
However, my only concern is about data loss. Because the display was broken, I could not complete a full backup. I only have a partial backup, and the service center informed me that there is no option available to recover or transfer the remaining data.
I wanted to ask the community:
Has anyone faced a similar situation?
Is there any possible way to recover data from a phone with a completely broken display?
Can Nothing consider providing a data recovery or transfer solution for such cases in the future?
Apart from this issue, I really enjoy using Nothing phones and appreciate the brand’s service.
