Hey guys, if you own nothing phone you have probably already faced problematic microphone. It uses Noise Suppression technology which significantly reduces the sound quality.
I’m using nothing phone 3a and nothing OS 4.0 rn. I think the mic is suck here cause of the forced focus mode (noise suppression). And for some reason it cannot be disabled in most of the apps.
According to my observations, it can be disabled only in dictaphone (u can choose mode in the bottom of the app) and during WhatsApp calls (3 green dots in upper right corner). And only during calls. It doesn’t affect voice messeges for some reason. That’s why sound is so suck.
I also checked some preferensec in adb. I think these prefrences are the culprits of this problem:

U can’t find them in the preferences, so there is no solution for this problem yet. The problem has been around for over a year, and nothing has not solved it yet, and there has not been a single mention of it. Please fix it already.
