I have dropped this phone many times, and a relative dropped it from very high places. Surprisingly, the front and back glass never cracked. The only damage was the frame crack and bending, but it never led to major issues or any issues except issues applying screen protectors.
as the frame was bent, the display glass got affected over time. After more than 6 months of using it in that bent condition, the glass eventually started cracking near the bent area slightly and finally broke. also, back glass hasn’t cracked yet.
Best Thing is the camera experience. Personally, it helped me better than the iPhone 15 Pro. This is a skill issue from my side because I never really figured out how to properly edit the iPhone Shots. but with this phone I got results that I liked more due to Presets.
NothingOS is other major advantage. Its very minimal, clean, and bit less distracting compared to other Skins. i like its design and simplicity but it lacks so many features other has on the other side.
The repair cost is around Rs.6k for the frame + display replacement. As Per Service Center, Aside from the Frame and Display part (that’s a single part) i will only get to know the final cost only after opening the phone and checking additional damage internally.
The biggest issues I had was UFS 2.2 and LPDDR4x RAM, and that too only when clicking photos as it quits background apps.
Conclusion: Nothing sometimes has avg specs for the price. But in real life use, the overall experience feels greater than the spec sheet. The design still hasn’t aged at all. (3a) was reliable and durable, more than what we pay for, based on my experience.
Phone (2a) users are still using their (2a) as there are little to no issues with it. Same here on (3a). I bet (4a) will last longer due to UFS 3.1 and better efficient chips, etc…
