I’ve been using the Nothing Phone (4a) for the past 10 days, and here are my first impressions as a tech reviewer.

The first thing that stands out is the design evolution. Nothing continues its signature transparent design language, and the Phone (4a) clearly carries the same DNA that made previous Nothing devices so unique. The device feels very clean and minimal, and despite the solid build, it is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to use for long periods.

One of the most interesting additions this time is the brand-new Glyph Bar. It’s not just visually appealing but also very practical. It allows me to get important information like notifications and charging status without even turning on the display. Over the past few days, I’ve found it to be a genuinely useful feature rather than just a design element.

In terms of performance, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, which delivers a smooth experience in everyday usage. Apps open quickly, the camera launches fast, and the fingerprint scanner is very responsive, making unlocking the device almost instant.

The 120 Hz display also adds to the overall experience. Scrolling through apps, browsing, and daily usage feel extremely smooth and responsive.

Battery life has also been quite impressive. With what Nothing calls a “Play All Day” battery, the phone comfortably lasts through a full day of regular use. Charging speeds are also quite fast, making it convenient to quickly top up the battery.

Camera performance has also been promising so far. The system does a good job at capturing details, and the quick camera access ensures you don’t miss important moments.

Another feature that stands out is Essential Search, which makes finding apps, files, and information much faster and more convenient.

Overall, after 10 days of usage, the Nothing Phone (4a) delivers a strong first impression with its unique design, practical Glyph Bar, smooth 120 Hz display, capable performance, and reliable battery life. I’ll continue testing the device further and will share a more detailed review after extended use.

just watch geekyranjit’s first impressions of 4a ….he clearly mentioned 4a is not comfortable to hold…ergonomicaly 4a is not good

I also watched geekyrangits video thier were a few things he didn’t really like.but overall he said it’s a good device personally I think it looks great and when you purchase a nothing phone it’s mostly for the OS and nothing always is my favorite OS to used next to One UI I really would like to get the NP 4A but since I’m in the USA I’m going to have to purchase the NP 4A pro and I’m ok with that. Other countries other than the US have much more choices. For some reason here in the USA Apple has most people Brainwashed. Don’t get me wrong Apple makes amazing well buit products but can’t get jiggy with iOS
