PramodRS thank you…🫂👍🏻 you’re contributing in making a device good… usually people just post here and expect their issue to get solved…

If you just bought your phone like 3-5 days ago it’ll take some time to settle down… you can do app optimisation also from setting>apps>app optimisation.. and turn on adaptive battery also…👍🏻

same here, i bought mine on April 25th, first week battery life was great, i got around 8+ hours of SOT but after the new update i can barely get 6 hours of SOT…

I really hope it gets fixed with next update

I am experiencing the same thing. My phone is 4 days old. I didn’t leave apps running. Left the battery at 98% when i slept, then woke up to 78% doing nothing. It barely lasts the day with minimal usage.

In my opinion, we live in a world where some mobile phone companies are making their phone batteries 7000 mAh or more. The phone should have at least 5000 mAh. So the idea of the 4a and 4a pro for battery capacity is good, but it needs work.

Jaikify Well, if one turns off everything that consumes battery and optimise every single application then this is not a smartphone anymore. Unfortunately, this is not great advice

Anurudhsajeevan Same issue for my 1 month old 4a. I was getting between 7-9hrs of usage and since 5 days im getting only 5 to 6 hours tops.

Hi everyone,

I purchased my Nothing Phone (4a) 7th July 2026. evening around 6:00 PM. The battery was at 80% when I started using it.

By around 10:00 PM, the battery had dropped to 45% with only normal usage. During that time, I mainly used Instagram and WhatsApp. I did not use the camera, play games, or do any heavy tasks.

Is this normal for a new device, or is anyone else experiencing similar battery drain? Does the battery need a few days to optimize after the initial setup?

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I just got my first nothing phone 3 days back. And I already set my charging setting to max 90%. I have noticed in 3 hours of screen time it consumes around 40 to 45 percentage of battery on the course of 8 hours time span. Is it normal?

Also I would love to know cool tricks and tips related to nothing 4a as it’s my first time switching to nothing from samsung. Thanks. Have a nice day 😃

Do you have a screenshot of your battery usage?

Most of the time, it’s an app running in the background chewing through your battery…

I never charged to 100% and these are my top apps that use most battery. I just turned off background usage for Instagram.

I would turn off background use for ANY Meta app - Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Also, consider Spotify, unless you are streaming 80% of your day…

You should see the battery drain significantly drop…
