[Bug] Wireless Emergency Alerts keeps crashing

Hallo zusammen, Ich habe ein Problem mit drahtlosen Notfallwarnungen auf meinem Nothing-Telefon (2). Die App stürzt ständig ab und zeigt die Meldung „Wireless Emergency Alerts stoppt ständig“ an. Das Seltsame ist: \- Ich kann die Einstellungen nicht einmal öffnen – sie werden sofort geschlossen \- Das Löschen von Cache/Speicher ist deaktiviert \- Es stürzt immer noch ab, auch wenn keine SIM-Karte eingelegt ist \- Ich habe auf das neueste Betriebssystem aktualisiert, aber das Problem besteht immer noch Ich habe auch versucht: \- App-Einstellungen zurücksetzen \- Carrier Services installieren/aktualisieren \- Mehrmalige Neustarts Nothing scheint das Problem zu beheben. Hat noch jemand dieses Problem gehabt? Gibt es eine Problemumgehung außer der Deaktivierung über ADB oder dem Zurücksetzen auf die Werkseinstellungen? Würde mich über jede Hilfe freuen 🙏

Hi everyone,

I’ve been facing an issue with Wireless Emergency Alerts on my Nothing Phone (2). The app keeps crashing and showing the message “Wireless Emergency Alerts keeps stopping.”

What’s strange is:

- I can’t even open the settings — it immediately closes

- Clearing cache/storage is disabled

- It still crashes even without SIM inserted

- I updated to the latest OS, but the issue is still there

I also tried:

- Resetting app preferences

- Installing/updating Carrier Services

- Restarting multiple times

Nothing seems to fix it.

Has anyone else faced this issue? Any workaround besides disabling it via ADB or factory reset?

Would appreciate any help 🙏

I am experiencing a persistent issue on my Nothing Phone 3 where I continuously receive the error message:

“Wireless Emergency Alerts keeps stopping”

This issue occurs every time I unlock my phone, making the device experience quite disruptive.

Device Details:

- Model: Nothing Phone 3

- OS Version: Nothing 4.1

- Android Version: 17

Issue Description:

- The error popup appears repeatedly upon unlocking the device.

- It seems related to the Wireless Emergency Alerts (Cell Broadcast) system app.

- The issue persists even after multiple troubleshooting attempts.

Steps I Have Already Tried:

- Cleared cache and storage of the app

- Forced stopped the app

- Restarted the device

- Updated all system apps (Google Play Services, WebView, Carrier Services)

- Reset app preferences

Despite performing all the above steps, the issue still persists.

Request:

Kindly investigate this issue and provide a fix or patch in an upcoming update. If needed, I am happy to share logs or additional details for debugging.

This seems like a system-level bug rather than a user-side issue.

after the security patch on March 2026, i am facing the issue wth wireless emergency application is stop working.

I’d been dealing with this bug for about 5 days. Restarting my phone didn’t work the first couple of times, so I gave up.

But for some reason, I tried again today—and it finally fixed itself lol

So yeah… if you’re facing the same issue, try restarting again. It might just work.

I really hope they fix it, because I think even the restarting of the app maybe give a lil battery drainage? My battery is fine most of the time but rn it’s going down kinda fast.
