Hey Nothing fam 👋
Been using the Nothing Phone (4a) for almost a month now through the Community Review Program—and honestly, this phone just gets my kind of lifestyle.
My day is literally: scroll → shoot → edit → post → repeat. So yeah, I need something that actually keeps up, not just something that looks good on paper.
Here’s my real experience after 28 days 👇
📷♡ Cameras – THIS is why I’m here. I’m into mobile photography, and this phone delivers it really well.
Main camera (50MP) - {Samsung ISOCELL GN9, 1/1.57″ sensor, f/1.88, OIS} is super fast. Like, I can shoot while walking and still get sharp shots—no more blurry or missed moments. The processing feels natural, not overdone.
Some samples are below -

🔎 Periscope lens (50MP) - {50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5, 3.5x optical zoom, OIS} is easily my favorite. The 3.5x and 7x zoom shots come out insanely clean. The depth and compression give proper DSLR-type feel, especially for street photography and portraits.
Some samples are below -

👉 Portrait shots deserve a mention too.
Edge detection is actually solid—even around hair (which most phones mess up). The blur looks natural, not artificial, and skin tones stay realistic. Even night portraits come out usable, which I didn’t expect at all. Some samples are below -

📐Ultrawide (8MP) - {Sony IMX355, 120-degree field of view} is decent—works well for OOTDs, group shots, and landscapes.

🎨 Gallery Update (finally!)
The new watermark feature is something I’ve been waiting for.
You can add, edit, or even remove watermarks after clicking the shot. The new Nothing-style presets look clean, especially the cricket one (India users will get it 👀).
Makes photos feel more “ready to post” without opening extra apps.

🔊 Speakers – didn’t expect THIS
Didn’t think I’d care about speakers, but these actually surprised me.
The bass is punchy, vocals are clear, and even at high volume it doesn’t break. I can easily preview my edits or reels without needing headphones.
☀️ Display – BIG upgrade
6.78” AMOLED display 1.5K resolution, and impressive 4,500 nits peak brightness with up to 120Hz refresh rate—and yeah, it looks really good.
Brightness is finally strong enough for outdoor use in direct sunlight. I can use phone in direct sunlight without struggling like before.
Only thing—screen feels slightly wide sometimes. Great for content watching, but one-hand scrolling on Instagram can feel a bit uncomfortable.
🔋 Battery – stress-free life
Battery is honestly one of the strongest points.
With around 5000mAh capacity, I’m getting 8–12 hours of SOT easily. And I’m a moderate user—5G always on, camera usage, editing, YouTube.
I can go through a full shoot day, edit everything, scroll at night—and still not worry about charging. Some stats are below-

✨ Nothing OS + AI Eraser
AI Eraser is lowkey one of the most useful features.
Just tap → remove random people or objects → done.
No need for third-party apps. Check it out, isn’t cool.
Final thoughts-
This isn’t just a “cool-looking” phone anymore. It actually works in real day usage.
Camera feels reliable and fun, portraits are solid, speakers are loud, and the display finally performs well outdoors. For someone like me who lives on their phone—it just fits.
Just hoping for a bit more optimization with refresh rate in future updates and this will be even better 👀
