1. Design & Build: The Stealth Aesthetic
The Black version is a departure from the usual high-contrast transparent look. It’s more of a “Dark Mode” aesthetic—smoky, translucent glass that reveals the internal textures without being flashy.
The Unibody Feel: Unlike the standard 4a, the Pro uses a premium aluminum frame. It feels significantly denser and more “flagship” in the hand.
The Glyph Matrix: The new circular LED interface is 57% larger than previous iterations. After two weeks, the “Essential Notifications” (where one LED stays lit until you check a specific app) remains the most useful feature.
Durability: The IP65 rating survived a few heavy Bangalore rain showers during my commutes without a flinch.
2. Display: 144Hz Fluidity
The 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel is arguably the best in its price bracket.
Brightness: With a peak of 5,000 nits, outdoor visibility is perfect even under direct midday sun.
Smoothness: The jump to 144Hz is noticeable if you’re coming from a 90Hz or older 120Hz screen. Scrolling through long documentation or research papers feels like ink on paper.
3. Performance & Software
Powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (4nm), the phone handles daily tasks with zero stutter.
Nothing OS 4.1 (Android 16): It’s incredibly clean. The AI-driven “Smart Folders” actually learn which apps you use at specific times (like Spotify in the morning and VS Code/Termux in the evening).
Thermals: Even during heavy multitasking—running a local Python script while streaming music—the 5,300mm² vapor chamber keeps the back only slightly warm.
4. Gaming Performance
For a mid-range “Pro” device, it punches high:
Titles: Genshin Impact and Warzone Mobile run comfortably at 60 FPS on High settings.
Touch Response: The high touch sampling rate is a massive advantage for competitive play.
Battery Drain: An hour of intensive gaming drops the battery by about 12-14%, which is impressive for this performance tier.
5. Photography: The 140x Zoom Surprise
The camera setup is the biggest “Pro” upgrade.
Main Sensor: The 50MP Sony LYT-710 produces natural skin tones and excellent dynamic range. It doesn’t over-process colors, which is great for post-editing.
The Zoom: While the “140x Ultra Zoom” is largely digital marketing, the 3.5x Optical Periscope is genuinely sharp. It’s perfect for capturing distant details during stadium events or cityscapes.
Selfies: The 32MP front camera has a wider 89° lens, making group shots much easier without a selfie stick.

6. Battery & Charging
The 5,080 mAh battery is a reliable “all-day” performer.
Real-world use: I consistently ended my days with 20-25% battery remaining after heavy use (GPS, 5G, and photography).
Charging: The 50W wired charging gets you from 0 to 100% in roughly 65 minutes. It’s not the fastest on the market, but the addition of 7.5W reverse wireless charging for your earbuds is a “Pro” touch that’s very convenient.
