Do you remember the Glyph Composer App that allows us to create ringtones that used the Glyphs? Many of these are stuck in time on the devices they were created on - not to mention the truly custom ringtones created with external tools like Glyph Tools, Glyphify, BNGC, BNMV or Cassette.

hi sebiai, so I am making app app for the phone 3 & 4a pro’s glyph matrix called Glyph4Matrix. and the glyph lights you are using in the phone 3 is similar to my idea. Kindly remove the phone 3’s matrix option as it is copying my project. you can use other animation type. this is similar to mine. Thank you for your support!

also, I am adding more glyph4matrix template, if you had seen my posts you would have seen this https://nothing.community/en/d/55095-glyph-ideas-drop-your-submissions-below, I am adding more animations and improving the design of this, then I am gonna try to make this actually work. I am not joking, Remember the phone 1 you used for the ad , it is the same with very very small differences. The day after I teased the glyph ideas integration you dropped this glyph port thing. I am so sorry and I totally get it. But it is a copy dude. I am rly sorry. Maybe we can try to integrate this app as a feature in my app? . I am so sorry that I am asking you to take it down but it has kinda taken almost the same role. So, pls remove that feature alone. You can have the rest of it. I am fine with it.

Rishik Iyyappan Unfortunately, the Glyph Lights are in the public domain, so community members can create Glyph Lights and Glyph Matrix tools freely. There are many copycat apps out there. Don’t stress about it.

Err_404NotFound_ This app which I am making is a new concept which is not yet copied until this one. look I am not saying it is a one to one replica but it does use the same glyph matrix design. I do get that there will be many replicas but then I have only teased the product but you made the product. Now, If I make it, It might look like my app is a replica of this app eventhough i teased the glyph lights for glyphmatrix first. Look I am not asking you to take down the entire app just that one feature.

Rishik Iyyappan Brother, real talk: First of all, the design of the Glyphs was neither made by you or me. So trying to remake these on the Phone (3) matrix will get a similar result by multiple people - especially when the canvas to paint on is only 25×25, even less for the Phone (4a) Pro.

Second of all, this “design” is literally the only thing our two apps have in common functionality wise. If I understand your intentions with the app right (based limited information on your GitHub repo and community posts) you are trying to create an app that provides Glyph Toy like functionality and other functions (Glyph Timer, …) for phones with a Glyph Matrix in the style of the old Glyphs.
My app on the other hand could not be further from that: It converts already made Glyph Compositions (mostly ringtones) from one glyph configuration to another.

The only other thing we have in common - which is not even exclusive to our two apps - is that our “content” somehow shows up on the Glyph Matrix and even how we achieve that is different - you via the Glyph Matrix Development Kit and me via specific audio tags that get parsed when set as ringtone. It is a whole other system.

Regarding this:

How fast do you think one can develop such an app? Me looking at your idea and about 6 days later having a full app ready, published on F-Droid, making a composition for my video and creating the video? The publishing alone on F-Droid took about one week. This idea of creating this conversion app has been on my mind since at least March of 2024 (source - need to be on the Nothing DC to view), the app was in development since September 2025 (source) and the specific “design” of the mapping from Phone (1) to Phone (3) was set in stone end of September 2025 (source), the others quick to follow on the 1st of October 2025.

Therefore, I am not entertaining this allegation of me copying your “design” any longer. As a result the app will stay as it is right now.
