Hi! This is a heads-up for other people like me. I updated my Nothing Phone 3 from 4.0 to 4.1, and it turned on the live demo mode that is on when the phone is a demo unit in a store. My phone was a demo unit (RDU) when I bought it, but it was reset to normal before I bought it. But now it turned and over about half an hour, it deleted everything from the phone other than my password. I wasn’t able to stop it, or delete the live-demo app, or access any relevant settings (like factory reset). I took it to the store’s tech support, and they weren’t able to delete it at first either, but then, after a few restarts, it started asking for a password to delete the app. We deleted it and factory reset the phone, and now it’s been working normally. It’s likely a bug on Nothings end and should be looked into.

I’m on the newer nothing OS 4.1 only nothing phone 3 here in the US. I just recently got my phone and I’m starting to notice a very bad battery drain on it. Also the hey Google voice Assistant is not working right. I know this was fixed in a prior version but it’s not working for me even after retraining getting and resetting it on my device.

updated my nothing phone 3 to OS 4.1 two days ago, now phone is charging very slowly and draining very fast. also heats up a lot especially while charging. i am using the original CMF 65 watt charger though. anyone else facing similar issue? what’s the solution?

Poor poor poor selfies - issue and concerns raised multiple time still no result with this update software is creating over make up for the face 🙁 really annoying

Display brightness is poor under sunlight even my friend oppo reno 15 display has good clarity under sunlight ..

Switched from np 2a plus , if the same continues for the next update sure will exit from np3 as well also completely planning to exist from nothing devices.

From owing 2a plus the same selfie issue now with np3 also ….why can’t a big tech giants in the industry can’t fix this poor selfies camera issue.

I’m not asking the selfie fix for midrange phone asking it for the costliest series of nothing!!

I am facing severe overheating issues on my Nothing Phone (3) after updating the device to Nothing OS 4.1.

Before the update, the phone was functioning normally. However, after installing the 4.1 update, the device has started heating excessively even during normal usage such as:

WhatsApp usage

Calling

Web browsing

YouTube streaming

Social media apps

Mobile data/5G usage

The phone also becomes warm during standby mode and charging, which was not happening earlier.

Due to this issue, I am experiencing:

Rapid battery drain

Performance lag

Increased device temperature

Uncomfortable handling during normal use

Where is the true flagship treatment? 🤨

Can anyone from the software team explain why the top-spec Phone (3) is completely left behind in the latest updates? While the new budget Phone (4a) series enjoy premium native features right out of the box, we get nothing:

No AI Smart Eraser: The budget phones can natively erase objects, but the flagship still can’t even delete a speck of dust in the Nothing Gallery. We still have to rely on Google Photos.
No Depth Effect Lockscreen: Cheaper devices get the beautiful layered clock UI, but Phone (3) is stuck with a flat, outdated lockscreen.

Buying a premium flagship shouldn’t mean being treated like a second-class citizen. Please stop gatekeeping basic software features behind marketing tricks and bring both features to Phone (3) ASAP!

JoEPuN this is not a valid reasoning, but i feel the following may be true. Phone 3 bombed so hard that they wanted 4A to succeed so badly that they had to put all resources into it. Let’s see if from this point on now that 4A has been released for a few months now , phone 3 is given importance, i think with the price reduction people who previously didn’t want it, are buying it, like me.

Absolutely. It’s 100% cheap marketing tactics. What’s even funnier is that I actually created a whole thread dedicated to this exact issue this morning, and guess what? The mods panicked and deleted all my text within a few hours. They know we are right, they just can’t face the truth. 💀

itc_c yess your point is actually right cause Nothing now has responsibility on their shoulders that they need to gain profits as Phone 3 was a Disaster.Now they have the high hopes on 4A and 4A pro and they might focus on it . It’s better to wait we should feel the team Nothing also . Firstly Nothing was an independent company which used to do what they want but now they have investors so it’s important to make them happy atp . Remember it’s not more independent company…..
