Dear Mr. Pei,
I have been a fan of Nothing since the beginning. The brand’s identity has always stood out, driven primarily by the unique Glyph Interface and the fluid Nothing OS, which I believe is the best Android skin available.
However, as a user, I was disappointed to see the classic, prominent Glyph Interface from Phone (1) and Phone (2) replaced by the Matrix design on newer models. While the concept is interesting, it lacks the boldness and distinctiveness of the original layout, which served as a practical visual notification system that derived the phone’s aesthetic.
I firmly believe that instead of moving away from the classic Glyph, it should be enhanced. Developing its functionality further and, most importantly, adding RGB customization would provide users with unprecedented personalization, making the phone an even greater masterpiece of design and utility.
Imagine being able to assign distinct RGB colors to specific apps or contacts; for instance, blue for Facebook, green for WhatsApp, and red for Instagram. This would allow users to immediately identify the source of any notification just by looking at the Glyph.
It would be great to see Nothing release flagships that cater to both design preferences, perhaps alongside each other.
Thank you for your innovation and for building this unique community.
Sincerely,
aksam
