Hey Community,
We’re rolling out a new update for Essential Space that makes it easier to keep your captures safe and available across your Nothing devices.
With Cloud storage, your Essential Space content can now be backed up and synced through your Nothing account. This means your notes, screenshots, voice captures, images, tasks, and summaries can stay connected across supported devices.
So if you change phones, reset your device, or move between Nothing devices, your Essential Space content can come with you.
Cloud storage is designed to make Essential Space feel more reliable and continuous, especially as it becomes a more important place for saving ideas, reminders, and things you want to come back to later.
You can manage Cloud Storage from:
Essential Space > Profile > Storage > Backup
Compatibility
Rolling out from today to all 2025–2026 Nothing and CMF phones that support the Essential Key.
How to get the update
If auto-update is turned on, Essential Space will update automatically. If not, head to the Google Play Store and update Essential Space manually.
As always, we’ll continue improving Essential Space based on your feedback. Please try it out and let us know how it works for you.
Security and privacy
Essential Space Cloud storage uses Google’s cloud infrastructure to back up and sync your content through your Nothing account. Your data is handled in line with GDPR requirements and protected by Google’s cloud security standards. Only you can access your Essential Space content through your account. If your device is used offline, the offline data will automatically merge once it reconnects to the internet.
