@“scamper” #p278570 Bro, you could add an Essential-style button on the cover above the volume-up button. It could trigger software (for example, NEssential) and work like the actual Essential Key, or let users customize the button actions themselves.
If possible, it would be awesome to make just a cover that can turn any Nothing Phone (2a) or Nothing Phone (2a) Plus into a “Pro” module. I’m using the Nothing Phone (2), and I’m planning to make one for my phone too.
One advantage I have is that the NP2 already has a reverse wireless charging coil, so I might be able to skip the USB connection and power it using a copper coil instead. If I succeed, I’ll definitely design a custom flexible PCB and use a small round OLED as an actual Glyph display.
It would be a really great project if you or anyone could make a simple snap-on cover that works in a plug-and-play way and feels like a legitimate upgrade.
