Ear (open) first launched as a new category for Nothing in Autumn 2024.
It uses Open Sound Technology to let you hear your surroundings and your favourite songs at the same time. This style makes it a lot easier to keep track of car horns when running, beeps on the treadmill or even your stop on the train. And at only 8.1g, each bud feels like you’re wearing nothing.
Today we introduce Ear (open) in an all new Blue.
A sporty variant to the existing white, it feels at home in our ecosystem.

As you know, we’ve used a couple of blues in our more recent products. The blue for Ear (open) is an extension of the ones in Phone (3a) and Phone (4a). It even matches the shade you see when light hits the tinted glass on Phone (4a).

Here’s some of the images that inspired our London design team during the colour-picking process. You might even notice that not all of these images are tech focused like the 1996 Sony Walkman or Panasonic speakers. We’re often inspired by everyday objects too, even living spaces and tennis courts.
