RobIgo - I remember you suggesting this to me when I asked on Discord way back when! Such a banger! 🤘🏼

My go-to is “Surface Pressure” from Encanto. The bass used in that track really hits and teaches me a lot about the low frequencies. But as a Disney film, the lyrics and the clarity need to be sharp and legible so I get a great picture on the full blend of the music. Plus, I love the film and that tune, so it is always a pleasure to listen to ❤

I listen to this everytime i get a new headphone cause I’ve been listening to it for years and im able to pinpoint the differences each earphone has to offer. Ear 2024 is the best so far.

Zac I prefer a very specific kind of sound, where the vocals are clean and the high ends are apparent with the bass being tuned down. Also, I listen to a LOT of Twenty One Pilots. So I just go though many of their songs that vary in sounds, like Jumpsuit, Bounce Man, Contracts, Overcompensate, Formidable, etc. and see if my favourite band hits with the same intensity as I prefer it.

I’m not technical with my music at all, I just like to listen and feel my music, so if I feel that my band hits right, my headphones are tuned well for me 🙂

I’d probably go with Parasite by Connor Kauffman, it’s got bass, great vocals, and it’s a good song. What more could you ask for? (I also haven’t bought a pair of CMF or Nothing headphones yet, but I look forward to doing so.)

For me, Good News - Mac Miller is one of my first go-to’s for testing anything.

The variety of base heavy undertones and melodic instruments, clear drums & everything being able to be heard quite clearly makes it perfect to me to judge how a device performs. It helps that I know the song like the back of my hand as well 😃

Zac Whoooo Selin has taste! Make sure to ask them which part(s) they mean though. Pink Floyd has uploaded parts 1-5 as the first track on WYWH and Part 6-9 as the closing track. They’re entirely different songs.

As for my pick on headphone testing, I’ll have to go with Radiohead’s “Man of War.” An incredibly well-layered song with deep bass and high pitches going over, under and through eachother. It’s an immaculate experience.

President - Doom Loop was the first song I tried on these headphones, and I’m absolutely in love with the sound. I like how these get the synths the right way. I just have to find the right setting to make guitars sound more powerful, it’s the only weakness I feel these Nothing Headphones (a) have. Then I tried with a little tuning of the bass for songs like Patrick Droney - Yours in the Morning, and I can’t find anything bad to say, to be honest, just the sound I wanted, still debating between balance or bass sound tuning.

Finally, playing Madeon - Dream Dream Dream, it’s where these headphones really shine. I think these headphones are made for that music at the moment. I hope Nothing maintains a personal tuning in the future and tries to be less bass-based to enjoy to the fullest more music styles, but really good job overall. Thank you for a clean design too! These and the Nothing Phone 4A Pro are one of the most beautiful products I’ve seen in the last 4 or 5 years as a brand manager who loves design.
