At Google’s I/O 2026, Google announced a variety of features, some of which were:
1. Rambler:
It’s basically Nothing’s Essential Voice, except built within GBoard. A keyboard used by billions of users around the world. It also seems to have better multi-lingual capabilities than Nothing’s Essential Voice.
2. Create My Widget
You can create custom widgets by just describing them in plain language, with an AI-based design tailored to you. Again, something Nothing launched first with Nothing Playground, but might not be leading in the long-term.
Seems like Google has done the same features, but better, and probably will be rolled out to more people. Also, some leaks for Google Pixel 11 show that it will feature a custom LED-matrix on the back of the phone, though only time will tell if that is true.
