Arpan If you know you know that we are at the limit for software that’s why telephoto lens exist on phones, so much can be achieved by a single lens specially when it’s a fixed lens in a tiny phone.
This is very true, but that makes it even more amusing to see how much effort OEMs put into improving camera performance via various software optimisations, processing, and tricks in general, just because of their extreme obsession with making uncomfortably thin phones.
If they just made phones only 2 mm thicker on average, they would save so much time and resources spent on all those camera optimisations. Consequently, we would have not just better battery life (due to more space to fit a larger battery), but better thermals (with higher performance) and much better overall camera performance. This industry is quite funny…
