Hi Nothing Team and Community,

I updated my Nothing Phone (1) yesterday to Nothing OS 3.2 (Build: Spacewar-V3.2-260618-1045)(July 2026 security patch), and immediately after the update I started experiencing multiple critical issues. The phone was working perfectly before the update.

Device:

Nothing Phone (1)
Nothing OS 3.2
Build: Spacewar-V3.2-260618-1045

Issues after the update:

Random automatic restarts.
Speaker/audio not working properly.
Unable to make or receive phone calls.
Unable to record videos using the camera.
Phone gets noticeably warm during normal use.
USB charging repeatedly connects and disconnects, and now the phone is not charging at all.
USB OTG devices (such as a pen drive) are not detected.

Troubleshooting already tried:

Booted into Safe Mode (the issues still persist).
Restarted the device multiple times.
Confirmed there is sufficient free storage (88 GB available).

The problems started immediately after installing the update, and no third-party apps appear to be causing them since the same issues occur in Safe Mode.

Has anyone else experienced these issues after updating to this build? If this is a known issue, is there any recommended fix or recovery procedure? I would appreciate guidance from the Nothing team, as the phone is currently unusable.

adarshaditya20 me paso lo mismo, lleve mi phone one(1) con muchos técnicos y no podían arreglarlo, pero lo lleve con un especialista en microsoldadura y encontró el error, la nueva actualización(V3.2-260618-1045) hizo que se desoldaran algunos módulos por sobrecarga, solo los acomodo y volvio a incorporarlos a la placa, en mi caso fue peor porque el mío entro en un loop de reinicio antes de llevarlo con el. solo te puedo recomendar que lo lleves a un taller especializado… yo amo mi phone one(1) prefiero pagar para raparlo que comprar un modelo nuevo (*￣3￣)╭

I’m not sure because of update or but my nothing phone 1 is one of the best best till few days back no lagging/ hanged but suddenly just yesterday it got hanged and shutdown by itself and I can’t on my phone it just show the logo and loading sign after keep on loading so i went to repair shop to reset everything including data and all and i can able to use now but now it got easily hanged/lagged and shutdown itself i use only 38gb in my 256gb but not working the same anymore, most of the time when shutting down it says ui not working/ wizard or something like that not working/ Phone loading and all

After the update phone 1 got hanged/lagged and automatic shutdown and hard to on the phone it’s showing the logo and dot loading sign but keep on loading the dot. After start easily got lagging and shutdown most of the time showing UI not working even using 38gb out of 256gb after reset everything anyone any idea

I have using nothing phone 1 and I’m loving it without having any issues but recently it got hanged and switch off after that I can’t able to on my phone after nothing logo and loading sign, after I fixed in mobile service and reset everything now I can use but not the same anymore it get hanged easily my phone is 256gb I use 38 gb only any Idea how to fix this ?

I have the same problem, as it seems.

Nothing Phone (1), Spacewar, build V3.2-260618-1045.
Phone remains stable before first unlock. Immediately after entering the PIN, applications/System UI stop responding and the phone fully reboots every few seconds. The issue persists in Safe Mode. Recovery and ADB sideload mode work normally.

Hi Everyone,

I’m experiencing a serious intermittent audio issue on my Nothing Phone (1) and would like to know if anyone else has experienced the same problem.

Device Information

Device: Nothing Phone (1)

Nothing OS: 3.2

Build: Spacewar-V3.2-260618-1045

Symptoms

Speaker randomly stops working.

Built-in microphone stops working.

Voice Recorder records only silence.

YouTube and Spotify fail to play audio or show playback errors.

Camera videos sometimes record without audio.

The issue affects the entire audio subsystem.

Sometimes the phone starts working again by itself, but the problem returns later.

Troubleshooting Already Performed

Updated to the latest official Nothing OS.

Factory reset completed.

Tested with and without Bluetooth earbuds.

Issue still persists.

ADB Diagnostics

During the failure I captured ADB logs, which repeatedly report:

AudioSystem::listAudioPorts error -19

AudioManager: updateAudioPortCache: listAudioPorts failed

Spotify also crashes because Android reports no available system audio routes.

Device History

For transparency:

Phone has had accidental water exposure in the past.

Display is physically damaged.

My Questions

Has anyone experienced this exact issue?

Was it caused by software or hardware?

If hardware, which component was replaced (Audio Codec IC, motherboard, audio IC, etc.)?

Did an official Nothing Service Centre fix it?

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.
