In India, ₹9,000 is a significant amount; if someone places their trust in ‘Nothing’ and the company fails to live up to that trust, it is truly disappointing. It is terrible when premium earbuds stop working or the battery fails right after the warranty expires. The company really should have provided a repair service or some alternative solution. Earbuds costing ₹9,000 fall into the premium segment; if a customer buys them based on trust, and the company simply suggests buying a new pair the moment the warranty ends, then what is the point of trusting the brand in the first place?

Wireless are a scam (no OEM is an exception). They are designed in a way that repair is impossible. OEMs make more money off of you if they sell you the same $100 product five times in five years than if they sell you that product once in five years. Buy wired if you care for your money.

grepGander Thanks, but Nothing compares itself to Apple; if Apple’s earphones fall into the premium category, they certainly last well over a year and a half. If a company makes such comparisons, then, in my opinion, they really ought to ensure their earphones—and other products—measure up to that standard.

Btw, I have the Bose QuietComfort Ultra, a very nice pair of earbuds when they were new, they go for around 230€ (so about ₹25,500), and now 13 months later, they’re dead. 1-2 months ago, they could hold a charge for about 20 minutes, and now I can’t even listen a single song before the right one goes off being empty. Never again wireless, lol.

Facing same issue the battery of Nothing Ear(a) doesn’t even last 5 mins. It’s matter of great concern Nothing should do something. Give us a solution we have invested ₹7999 hoping for premium product but it wasted.

My Ear 2024 and Ear 3 are awesome, never had any issues and they sound a lot better then some earbuds that are $300+

ShubhamMishra_aOK4YcBnaO Like basically all of them, yes. Nothing is no different from anyone else. Fairphone is quite literally the only existing name making good earbuds with replaceable batteries, which is why those earbuds are quite chunky:

If you’re using yours non-Fairbuds earbuds regularly (3+ hours daily), you can consider yourself lucky if you manage to push them for more than 1 year without at least one of them dying altogether. No matter of their OEM. Except that with more money wasted on that crap you can possibly reach 2 years of use before extreme battery degradation (simply because of more expensive tech in them with better power efficiency, including better batteries). Wireless = ewaste.
