Just a small suggestion to the Nothing team. I completely understand why the Phone (3) is required for this program. It’s probably the best-suited device for testing the upcoming software, and I understand there are technical reasons for limiting the program to a particular device.
But at the same time, what about the community members using other Nothing devices? There are plenty of people who have been genuinely active in the community for a long time and can also provide valuable feedback and meaningful testing.
What honestly feels disappointing is that when Nothing needs people to test software, give feedback and help improve the experience, you look for the die-hard community members. But when it comes to a major product launch, it often feels like priority is given mainly to content creators, while those long-time community members who have supported Nothing consistently are left behind.
I’m not saying content creators shouldn’t get these opportunities. They absolutely have an important role. But I think the long-term community members deserve some recognition too. They are the people who have been here, discussing the products, testing updates, reporting bugs and supporting the brand even when there was no product launch happening.
It’s a bit hard to say, but I really hope Nothing can find a better balance between content creators and genuine long-term community members—not just when you need software testers, but also when new products are being launched.
