My problem is that I read Keith’s post yesterday saying, “today we launched Nothing OS 5.0,” and expected to get the same experience shown in the screenshots and videos, instead of a stripped-down version. And this isn’t the first time it’s happened. My Nothing phone is still my secondary device, and this is one of the reasons why. Just sharing my feedback on this.

Today i joined beta and got the update in my nothing phone 3 started using in starting hours everything was smooth and good after few hours everything started lagging and phone started getting stuck in between it can’t even open apps or connect to a bluetooth even chrome browser got stuck in between even i cant open a notification panel this problem started when i connected my phone to a bluetooth earpiece this glitch got me a headache as it was even not unlocking with the finger or face it everytime it asked for a password just all of sudden i have attached a video for a proof (dont judge me on my modded apps)

try optimisizing apps again and check if nothing luncher is updated…. cause rollback isnt that much easy

It’s probably just a simple memory leak, it’s an easy mistake to make when coding.

I bought Nothing 3 last month and really loving the UI, it’s fast and smooth. I updated to Nothing OS 5 yesterday, the UI is really smooth and fast but there’s still some bugs and some customization options looks missing.

There’s randomly a lock screen password on my screen when phone is unlocked. I couldn’t see notification and quick settings, when I tried swiping down the lock screen overlay appears and disappear when I let go of the screen. I had to restart everytime to fix it.
It looks like the transparent widgets is still missing or maybe I can’t find it yet, but it’s a bad design if I can find the widgets customization IN THE widgets option, especially when I found the wallpaper studio on my own.
The theme is based on fixed colors or the wallpaper colour palette and there’s a monochrome option but it still looks redish/brown in the quick settings, theres like no change there even when the whole home screen is of different colour.
Also in Instagram, when I open any reel in home feed and come back, it refreshes the feed even after a few seconds, I don’t know if that’s the Instagram doing or the phone’s, but it’s really annoying.

For now there’s only these things I discovered, honestly there should be more customization in colors or maybe I’m just unlucky that I couldn’t get decent colour with my wallpaper

I want to give some feedback regarding the new Control center:

First thing I want to mention: The bouncy effect when swiping down the control center or notifications is way too much/ it slows the overall feeling extremely down imo.

The next thing is that the Media player is there now twice and I don’t see any advantages. I think there should be an option to choose whether It’s on notification side or control center side.

Maybe it could be part of customization of controlcenter.

The last point is the control center in landscape mode. I think the layout should be more polished/ similar to horizontal mode. At least the navigation bar should cut it that weird way.

The noticiations in landscape mode look great!

Positive Feedback: It’s much easier to organize notifications and quick settings that way and the general design is really well executed!

Til21 🇩🇪 I also noticed the bounce animation they added when pulling the quick settings down. It’s not timed right or something and looks unintentional.

I guess we are going to have to stay away from Chrome until a stable release comes out because as soon as the app is open it crashes every other app (even Calculator, for the love of math).
