rdx it’s not true.
Simply turning on Android Developer Options usually does not stop banking apps from working.
What can cause problems is enabling specific developer/security-related settings, especially:
USB debugging — some banking apps may flag it, particularly on modified/rooted devices.
OEM unlocking — can be treated as a security risk by some apps, though merely enabling the toggle usually isn’t enough by itself.
Bootloader unlocked — much more likely to cause banking/UPI apps to fail security checks.
Root / Magisk / modified system — commonly detected by banking apps.
Mock location / debugging or other tampering-related settings — certain apps may restrict functionality.
Your banking apps should not stop working just because Developer Options is enabled.
The important distinction is:
✅ Developer Options enabled → usually fine
✅ All individual options left at their defaults → usually fine
⚠️ USB debugging enabled → some banking apps may object
⚠️ Bootloader unlocked/rooted → much more likely to cause banking apps to fail
⚠️ Mock location / other debugging features → can sometimes trigger security checks
So if you’ve just enabled Developer Options and left everything else alone, It wouldn’t worry.
