nothingmore I read your entire post, and while I agree with some of the points you made, I think your negative opinion is exaggerated. I’ve been a NOTHING user since 2021… Ear (1), Phone (1), Phone (2)… I was one of the first to buy the Phone (1) during a holiday trip to London, in the only unofficial store that sold NOTHING products (my daughter lives in London).
Deception… no.
Disappointment… yes.
With the Phone (1), an iconic device and a completely new concept that launched the NOTHING brand, everything was forgiven because the company had just been born and we needed to be patient and give it time to grow and fix its early mistakes. With the Phone (2), the first disappointments started to show because the shortcomings and issues were still there.
Today, in 2026, users’ expectations haven’t been met — I admit that. The OS is clean and lightweight, but it lacks essential features. Just to name a few: there’s no file manager app, no compass/altimeter app, the camera software doesn’t fully take advantage of the hardware, the gallery app is missing basic editing tools, and even though I personally find AI features unnecessary on a phone, many users want them… and so on.
Despite all this, I have to say that my NOTHING products still work well. Battery life… not exceptional, but I’ve always managed to get through the day with a decent amount left. Camera… it could be better, but I can assure you I’ve taken some beautiful photos with both the Phone (1) and Phone (2). I’ve never had green lines on the display, never had freezes or random reboots, no issues with Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, or 5G, my USB‑C ports work perfectly, and my Ear (1) still accompany me on my train trips today. Was I lucky, or were you unlucky?
What I want to say is that I don’t feel deceived by Nothing — just disappointed.
Disappointed by the results and performance that should be here by now but aren’t, and by prices that don’t reflect the real value of what you’re buying.
