Nothing Ear (2024) LDAC on Windows

Hello,

I am trying to get LDAC (or at least Apt-X HD) working on Windows 11 w/ my new Nothing Ear (2024 model). I downloaded and installed the Alternate A2DP Driver software and currently have the headphones only connected to my PC. They show up in the driver, but only SBC and AAC protocols are available. I tired 3 different BT adapters (1 on my mobo, the other 2 USB w/ BT5.3+ support) I do not have an Android phone to enable High Res audio on the headphones, could that be part of the issue?

Has anyone gotten this to work? I know PC support has been poor and there is an unofficial Nothing X package that may help in the near future once NE2024 support is added.

NolanHalliday LDAC only works if your device support it and for pc only few high end pc supports LDAC so kindly check your pc that it supports LDAC or not

Ujjawal_02 That has nothing to do with “high end pc” :-) Alternate A2DP implements LDAC for Windows (in its own BT driver stack). At the end, LDAC is just a codec (format) protocol using BT as transport layer (avrcp).

In my understanding, LDAC has to be activated on the Nothing Headphone itself, but with the iPhone App this is not possible, therefore the Headphone propagates (maybe) only SBC and AAC. But I am not sure - I was also not able to use LDAC with A2DP. Have no Android Phone to try LDAC out…
