cmplants This doesn’t look like something you would expect. Could you try the following:

  • Open the Log tool by typing this in your phone dial: *#*#569#*#*

  • The Log tool should now appear

  • Tap the 3 dots in the top right corner and click Log list

Are there any logs listed here?

Secondly:

  • With the Log tool still open, swipe up from the bottom of your screen and hold, so that the multitask view is opened

  • Long press on the Log tool icon and click ‘App info’

  • Go to the Storage and cache section

Do you see a large amount of data here?

Mr Steel Hi, I am also experiencing the same issue. I have repeatedly reformatted my phone, but the issue of growing system files persists. I also notice that when I am connected to the internet, the size continues to grow, and the phone overheats.

In search of a solution, I arrived at this thread and followed your advice. There are no logs listed, and the app info for the log tool does not show any relatively large amounts of data (KB size).

    Hi

I’m having a really strange problem!

Since yesterday my storage is 100% full. No matter how much files I delete and add up to the free space, System data fills all the storage again!!

My battery is draining like crazy and charging speed is very very slow! Like ten times slower and it takes hours to fully charge the phone!

After updating to OS 3.0 i subsequently reformatted my phone and for some unknown reasons my temporary system files is at 58GB whilst the Android 15 is at 14GB. I could not really pinpoint whats causing this issue..

This is not right; it should not be like this. You did something wrong somewhere. A full reset is needed.

Just checked w. mine.. doesn’t happen for me (i’m on v2.6)

Might be that you enabled some kind of a system log collection somewhere… that is/was running continuously in the background and has collected this garbage data to fill up your storage. My suggestion would be to find an app to show what all system apps/functions are taking up this much space and clear their data.

None of my current apps are taking too much space including its cache. I have deactivated portion of google’s setting i.e. (Ads and etc). But still the problem persist, for some reason when i am connected to the internet it just increases its system files. This is frustrating as this has become one of the majors issue since acquiring the phone.

      Hi,

I’ve recently had notifications that I’m running out of storage on my 256gb phone 2, I’ve cleared old videos, photos, unused apps and music, and I’ve since realized in my storage, my system is using 189gb? at this point the phone’s nearing unusable.

      Any advice would be appreciated.

      thanks.

Thanks mate, I’ve submitted a ticket, my system storage has risen to 192gb in about 12 hours.
