I agree, unlikely to see it in september. Also based on the last video on NOS3.0 it seems that NP3 won’t be out until next year so I think they are only cooking software features (especially AI).

On my end, as a NP2 user, I’m hoping for an improved camera software, I don’t think is bad but it’s quite inconsistent in its performance, especially in HDR/contrast parts.

Yes I am very exited for this (Nothing OS 3.0)but I think I got this update with Android 15 in next month so……

Will they ever make a nothing gallery the view phone??? And how about a nothing music player ??? How much does it cost to make that , im sure that your premium flagship phone buyer’s are willing to pay for it, if its in the app store, I pledge to give $20 right now if you could give feedback…….

And I’m still waiting for phone 3, im only a flagship phone buyer!

But Carl has mentioned on X that a Gallery App is heavily requested, and that it is coming. So we are just awaiting news on when this may be.

No news on a Music Player from Nothing, but with the saturation of Streaming platforms like Spotify, is this a needed app? - I enjoy the Music widget.

Phone (3) is coming in 2025. No news on what release date that is.

I wonder which one among the 5 phones will first get stable nos3

Nothing Phone’s Software developer, Please developed good improvement like Camera,Ram manegement and Gaming performance #BGMI_90Fps…Am Using Nothing Phone 2.This Phone not good in ram manegement so poor like under 10000 Rupees Devices. Please developed Good software…

Aditya I think there are two options for OS3.0 release.

      1. NothingOS 3.0 will launch with the Phone 3, as was the case with NOS2.0 with Phone 2. Mostly because Phone 3 being the flagship would need to launch with key software features. Best to align your major software iteration with your hardware flagship launch.
      2. NothingOS3.0 will launch as Nothing’s Android 15 iteration. And from here on out, numerical iterations of NothingOS will align with the iterations of Android. Unlike what we had before, wherein Android 14 was released NothingOS2.5 and not as an iterative update. This would provide an opportunity to align both Android feature updates as well as Nothing Feature updates together.

I personally think option 2 is the more likelier of the two to happen. Mainly because of the fact that Phone 3 won’t be out until atleast spring 2025, which will by then be almost 2 full years since Nothing’s previous major OS release. Nothing will probably want to bring out a major release before that. Also, there’s the task of rolling out the Android 15 update. So why not align them both as they won’t be releasing a flagship this year.

JeffreyLopez I am unsure what you are insinuating?

No one “makes” me do anything on this Community forum. My own enthusiasm for the Nothing brand keeps me engaged here and enjoy the conversation with the Community.

As such, I tend to take note of the crumbs we get via social media and I am merely recalling those facts, in answer to your previous question(s) and to aid the thread from what the Original Poster put.

JeffreyLopez all this will make the software very heavy and maybe difficult to manage for a rather short team.

It’s better to take it slow and keep it close to stock atp

Aditya I think nothing is playing games in the name of phone 3 launch.
