Hi there,
I was wondering if it was somehow in Nothingās plans to make a mini-style phone? Everywhere around me, I see people, many people with iPhone 13 mini and iPhone SE, clinging to these latest āsmall models,ā and I notice every time itās for the same reason: to have a phone thatās less invasive in terms of pocket space, and thatās no longer āprimarily dedicated to mediaā (which would fit in with the stated policy of ending doomscrolling btw..)
I was thinking that it would probably be a good direction for Nothing to focus on a smaller phone; it would be a good way to convert those whose iPhones will soon be obsolete (in terms of OS updates) and who ultimately want a small phone and donāt care about having the Apple brand. For the record, I was still using a BlackBerry Key 2LE until last year. When the processor overheated, a friend gave me an iPhone 7. Since then, Iāve been cursing Apple for being the last to have small phones that are still relatively up-to-date and usable.
I really donāt like this brand at all, and I wonāt give them a single euro, even if I buy a used one.
I had considered the Fairphoneās brand, but itās not quite perfect; the hardware, it seems, isnāt great.
When I first became interested in Nothing, I was immediately hooked: the corporate ethos, the design, the Nothing OS, the Android customization, and the price????!!!! wtf is that price???⦠itās the first time I could honestly see myself happily spending ā¬400 on a phone.
To be honest, I would have already bought a miniature Nothing if one had existed, regardless of the specifications.
In short, you get the idea: considering that a phone shouldnāt cost a monthās salary for relatively āsimpleā use, Iām the perfect target.
So my question is this: would Nothing consider a āPhone a miniā to finally take all the market share from those awful Apple brands š?
(As soon as possible, hopefully :p ..!)
Cha.
